Dance Instruction

Chanda's School of Dance specializes exclusively in Canadian Stepdancing. We teach anyone from age 4 to adult. Our goal is to offer dance as a recreational activity and on a competitive level.  This summer we have had competitive students in the top 3 of every age category in every contest in Ontario. There are three excellent student-instructors that teach with me so there is a lot of personal attention given to each student. We strive to create a fun and action packed class that every student wants to come back to.

Registration
We are holding 2 registration dates where ALL previous and new students must attend.
There will be a registration fee of $10 and $20 maximum for families. If you cannot attend the registration date you MUST call and arrange to see me before Friday September 4th.
Registration dates are:
Saturday August 29th - 10:00am - 2:00 pm
Held at Chanda’s School of Dance


I will have the years schedule done when you arrive and any adjustments can be addressed on that date. It is also the time to bring in shoes to sell that you have outgrown and to look for new ones.


Pre-school Morning Class
This class will be for ages 2 - 4. It will run once a week from 9:30 to 10:30. There will be 2 ten week sessions. One in the Fall and one in the Winter. The focus will be on dance, but will include circle time and crafts. Limited space available. More details to come.

Bodhran Classes
(Irish Drum)
Hello everyone,
This is what’s new at Chanda’s School of Dance. I will be holding a 4 session Bodhran class,
once a month on Friday nights starting in January 2010. If anyone is interested please email me or call
me. Space is limited to 10 people and it will be held at Chanda’s School of Dance in Orangeville.
Dates are chosen however, they may be subject to change and they are as follows:

January 29th
February 26th
March 26th
April 30th


Classes will run for 1 hour 7:00 – 8:00pm and you must bring your own drum. Cost is $20 a person and
the total amount of $80 for the 4 sessions is due on the first day. Please feel free to email or call me if you
have any questions.

Chanda's School of Dance offers workshops every year in different areas of dance. Some are for students only and some are open to everyone and anyone who wants to learn to dance. This year we will be having a Ceili (an Irish set dance), an Irish dance workshop and a percussion/feet workshop.
